Description
This is the genuine Simpson bearing lower frame assembly for Simpson & Westinghouse washing machines, listed under part number 4055578738. The same part is also catalogued as 0542250064. Because it is made or supplied by Simpson, it matches the original fit, finish and specification.
How this part works
Bearings let the drum or shaft spin smoothly. Once a bearing wears, the washing machine becomes noisy and the seal will eventually fail.
When to replace it
- A rumbling or roaring noise during spin
- Play in the drum when rocked by hand
- Rust-coloured water marks on the laundry
